What is a zine?
A zine is a collection of fanworks including art and writing among other things that usually follow a theme.

What is the theme of Thundering Hearts?
Thundering Hearts is a physical, SFW zine dedicated to the relationships between the female characters of Inazuma. Thundering Hearts is a fanmade project and is in no way affiliated with HoYoverse, nor does HoYoverse endorse this project.

Which characters will be included in this zine?
We will be including all released adult female Inazuma characters up to Patch 2.6. This includes Kamisato Ayaka, the Raiden Shogun (includes Ei), Kujou Sara, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Yoimiya, Yae Miko, female Inazuman NPCs, and Lumine.

Is this project SFW?
Yes, Thundering Hearts will be SFW.

Where will profits go?
Thundering Hearts is half for-profit and half-for charity. Profits will first and foremost go towards producing a complimentary full bundle for contributors and mod team. Remaining profit will be split such that 50% will be donated to the Astrea Foundation and 50% will be split evenly amongst the contributors and mod team.

How many contributors are you planning to include?
The number of applicants accepted will be 20 artists, 5 comic artists, 5 writers and 5-7 merch artists. This is not including any guests.

How will contributors be compensated?
All contributors are guaranteed a digital PDF of the zine and digital merch. Should profits allow, we plan to offer all contributors a complimentary full bundle of the zine. Contributors will also receive a cut of any leftover profits following the production of the complimentary full bundles and donation to charity.
Please note that contributors under 18 will be required to have a parent's or guardian's Paypal in order to receive monetary compensation. If they do not have access to one, their monetary portion of the zine will be donated to charity.

Will this zine include spoilers?
Yes, spoilers are allowed as long as content has been officially released by HoYoverse. This means that any works containing "leaked" content will not be allowed.

Will the zine allow AUs?
Yes, AUs are allowed as long as works adhere to the WLW Inazuma theme.

GUIDELINES

GENERAL GUIDLINES

Contributors should have a discord account or be willing to create one. Contributors will be required to join the server as it is our main method of communication.All contributors are expected to meet deadlines or communicate with mods in the event extensions are needed.Contributors are expected to act in a cordial manner with one another. This doesn’t mean that you have to be professional, but it means that you should be respectful and willing to work.Contributors are expected to not reveal the pieces they have created for the zine on social media or streaming sites unless directed to by the mod team for zine promotional purposes or until all zines have been shipped.Contributors are expected to not trace or plagrism, nor should applicant portfolio include any unoriginal work belonging to another creator.Applicants must be ages 16 or up by the date in which application results are released on 20 April 2022.All links within your application or portfolio must be visible to the mods. Should the mods be unable to access your portfolio, your application will unfortunately be dismissed.
PAGE ARTIST

In your application, you must submit a portfolio with upwards of five fully illustrated pieces.At least one of these should have a background.Your pieces are not to be sketches, nor are they to be uncolored.Mods will be judging based on aspects such as lighting, coloring, anatomy, style, and more.AT LEAST ONE work from Genshin Impact will be required.Works including WLW content is appreciated, but not required.Traditional works of art are allowed, but they must be scanned properly.NSFW content should not be included in your portfolio or samples.Works containing trigger warnings (ie. gore,violence, etc) should be appropriately labeled in the title.
MERCH ARTIST

In your application, you must submit a portfolio with upwards of five fully illustrated pieces.At least one of these should be a merch design that you’ve done.Your pieces should be completed and your portfolio should not include WIPs, uncolored pieces, or any other unfinished works.Your pieces should also be original.Mods will be judging based on aspects such as: style, coloring, and more.AT LEAST ONE work from Genshin Impact will be required.Works including WLW content is appreciated, but not required.NSFW content should not be included in your portfolio or samples.Works containing trigger warnings (ie. gore,violence, etc) should be appropriately labeled in the title.
WRITER

In your application, you must submit a portfolio with upwards of three complete pieces.At least one of these should be a piece of fiction under the word count you’re applying for. The more you show the mod team that you can work within the parameters of the zine, the better!For poets, this will consist of a poem under two pages.For long fiction writers, this will consist of a piece of fiction between 1500 and 2500 words.Your pieces should be completed.Ensure before applying that your pieces are original and of your own creation.Mods will be judging based on aspects such as characterization, style, flow, grammar, and more.AT LEAST ONE work from Genshin Impact will be required.Works including WLW content is appreciated, but not required.NSFW content should not be included in your portfolio or samples.Works containing trigger warnings (ie. gore,violence, etc) should be appropriately labeled in the title.
